Lady and Star - Two ponies looking for new homes

Both were passported 2008, both black and in good health.

Star is about 11.2 well handled and halterbroken, she leads in and out and is happy to have a fuss made of her. She will make a nice ride or drive pony. Worked and can have feet trimmed

Lady is show quality and possibly in foal, about 12.hh has been halterbroken and led round the stable. She is very shy and despite a lot of work to get her confidence will I think be quite a project for someone. She wants to make friends. Has been wormed.

Both ponies are currently based in Exmoor however their owner is moving soon, a home had been found for them but sadly on the day they were due to leave the purchaser pulled out through no fault of the ponies.

No purchase price but a donation to the Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony is requested. Homes will be checked and a reference from vet required.

For more information contact Vicky on vicky@robinson.net or Charlotte Faulkner at the Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony

25+ ponies needing homes

An appeal is in place to re-home 25+ hill ponies some crossed with cobs and arabs, I will have photos and further details shortly, in the mean time if you would like information email- mary.tyrer@hotmail.com

There are over 25 dartmoor ponies, 5 cob crosses, and 3 arab crosses needing homes. The majority of the dartmoors left are colts although there are a few fillies left. The cobs and arabs are all colts. The dartmoors are £30 each, cob x`s between £140 and £240 and the arabs are £240, but the farmer will consider offers on the cobs and arabs. The dartmoors are between 6 and 10 months old, the cobs are between 8 months and 2 years, and the arabs are between 2 and 3 years old.

They are all classed as unhandled, however they are used to people, just a little bit nervous that all.

There are some photos and details on their Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=317&post=754&uid=192228360792606#!/pages/Dartmoor-rescue-of-25-ponies/192228360792606
