Dartmoor mare with foal at foot or foal for sale on her own once weaned

Lottie will be for sale when she is 6-7 months old,she can be weaned with us or new owners can do that themselves when she goes to her new home, lottie is a dartmoorxshetland, her mum flicka is a blueroan dartmoor pony and lottie's sire is victor he is a pure black shetland stallion and he is registered and approved by the shetland pony stud book society.Lottie is being wormed regulary and will have had her first tetnus vacciantion, will be microchipped and passported.Lottie should make between 10hh-11.2hh,she is available for viewing small deposit required, she was born on the 19th of may 2010,photo taken at 16 weeks old.I may consider selling mum flicka with lottie to the right home, flicka is a bit of a shy pony as she was a rescued moor pony,i can put a headcollar on her and lead her,she can shy away at being caught, but once caught i can stroke her and lead her with no probs.Flicka will need someone to carry on getting her used to her feet being picked up as she is still abit silly about that, she is a lovely broodmare and we have had 2 filly foals from her since we have owned her,she is likely to be infoal again for 2011 ,foal would be due end of april beginning of may by my shetland stallion.Flicka is passported and vaccinated against tetnus. If someone would like the pair they can go together now.£350 the pair or foal on her own £250.Please no dealers or timewasters.

Dunmere Black Bryony (Twiggy)

Dunmere Black Bryony (Twiggy) 8 year old registered Dartmoor Pony mare. Twiggy is an ideal lead rein pony; she is quiet and easy to handle. She has been shown both on the lead rein and in-hand and has bred two foals. She is a good doer but does not like being outside 24 hours a day on the top of Dartmoor in the middle of winter (I am in Postbridge) and I have no stable for her this winter. Tack and rugs come with her. She is good to catch, load and have her feet trimmed (she has been shod in the past but not currently). For more information please contact Anna Bassett on 01822 880334 or email annabassett55@tiscali.co.uk

Charming grey and white shetland cross yearling colt

Charming grey and white shetland cross yearling colt

Adores human company and attention, and comes to me for comfort and reassurance. I bought him as a rescue, with a view to taming him and finding him a home, but he didn’t need taming! He leads and loads. He has been vaccinated and wormed twice, and has had his feet trimmed. Sadly must rehome him as due to the drought here in Sussex, I have no winter grass.

Good home essential for this special little character. £150. Tel. 07759 909696

Registered black 12.2 5 yrs Dartmoor Gelding for sale

Rose Ashes Black Velvet (Bramble)12,2 (approx) Quality Registered Dartmoor Gelding, 5 years old. This very beautiful, striking black pony, works well on the flat, including early lateral work such as leg yielding and shoulder in, walk pirouettes etc. He has good natural self carriage and a natural jump, currently schooling over 2ft6 fences. He hacks out alone and in company, has done pleasure rides, and is very bold. He has exceptional paces and presence. From the ground he can be a little nervous, and so needs experienced handling. He would not suit a home with small children or make a lead rein pony. However, for a confident teenager or a light weight adult who might want to do a little more to keep his brain working, he would be ideal, perhaps even to learn some more advanced schooling moves. A very special home is sought for this little fellow, where he can be loved and cared for.

Dartmoor Hill Ponies in need of urgent home

Below is an appeal by someone who is looking for homes for some Dartmoor Hill Ponies, unfortunately we are full at the centre and unable to take on any more, if we did we would risk the welfare of the ponies we have by taking on too many which we just can't do. If you think you can help please get in touch with Mary on 01752 346858 OR 07789676116.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP?!? 9 DARTMOOR HILL PONY COLT FOALS

They all need good genuine homes. They need you now. They have very uncertain futures. They are all around 8 months old and will make between 11-13hh There are:* 2 Red/Whites* Dark brown with a white blaze down the face* Light dun (Caramel/cream)* Dark brown with star on forehead* Browns and Bays

They are currently living on the moor; some are friendlier than others and some allow me to touch them. They were late foals last year and were too young to go to the sales and most werer colts.

WE DESPERATELY NEED HOMES FOR THESE GENTLE TEMPERAMENT PONIES.
Someone needs to care for these ponies. Please don't just feel sorry for them. Help them by giving them genuine homes. Could you or do you know someone that would?

PLEASE PHONE Mary ON TEL: 01752 346858 OR 07789676116.

Having spoken to Mary, she is a woman at her wits end trying to save these ponies. She and her friends have transport and are willing to help transport them if homes can be found. She added this info: They are Dartmoor Hill Ponies all late foals from last year and all colts. They will make 11'2-12hh and some 12-13hh approx. They are still on their mums and running free on the egdes of Dartmoor, on the moor in and around Lee Moor village between Cornwood and Shaugh Prior nr Plympton Plymouth. Their colours are Bays and dark browns, light dun (cream with black tails and points) a chocolate brown with white blaze and dark browns with stars and there is also 2 red/white one small than the other but beautifully marked.
Help has been offered for cheaper passporting/microchips and gelding for any serious home offered. A genuine home is needed for all these colts.

I feed them twice daily, I don't have to and I do not own them, I have spoken to the farmer and he doesn't know what to do with them and no-one has no money resession etc., he doesn't want to shoot them and prefer them to get homes instead.

I have and will try to get as many homes as possible with the help of people like yourselves. Any help would be appreciated and thankyou
